To be awarded certification, the boots must pass laboratory tests to assess the grip rate (0.6 for this model) on different surfaces (smooth, rugged, dry, wet). To approve these tests, we then assess the quality of our soles in the field, in the mountains, by a panel of kid testers. Which size should you choose? : For hiking, do not hesitate to choose one size above your usual size to ensure optimal comfort when abseiling and prevent your toes from hitting the front of the shoe. Tip: keep your toenails short, and before abseiling at any time, check that your laces are tight enough to stop your feet slipping down towards the front of the shoes. Purchase advice : Ask your kid to try on both shoes, stood up, with the socks used for hiking.
